The political landscape also plays a role. Majorities of Democrats, Black Americans, young women, and all adults under 30 want to retain the ACA. Conversely, a majority of Republicans and members of Trump's 'Make America Great Again' movement favor its repeal.
As we head into the 2026 midterm elections, health insurance prices are a growing concern for Americans. The poll reveals that 57% of respondents trust the Democratic Party to handle this issue, while 43% place their trust in the Republican Party. Women, in particular, express greater trust in the Democratic Party to manage healthcare costs.
