Originally slated for a January 15th release, UK players (and likely others!) are reporting that the update is already live and ready to download. Forget waiting until tomorrow; the island awaits!

The paid upgrade, often associated with rumors of a "Switch 2" release (though Nintendo hasn't confirmed a Switch 2!), is still scheduled to go live tomorrow, January 15th.
